AFA bounced straight back to winning ways after last Friday's disappointing loss with another strong performance, but had to have the discipline to come from behind against Nueva Andalucia.
With Mr Alex able to watch his new team for the first time, he would have enjoyed some of the lovely football played by AFA, particularly in the first half, but AFA were slow to start and conceded a sloppy goal before they got going.
Ray was looking in top form and Ethan was winning everything that came near him, as AFA took control of the match. Within seconds of conceding, we were back on level terms.
Solid performances from key members of the team meant that we were also able to try some things out, and rotate people around so that everyone had a turn of defending and attacking.
One person benefiting from being given a chance was Jake, who had it not been for an innocent intervention on the goal line by Sebastian, would have scored his very first goal. I am reliably informed that the team have actually awared the Goal to Jake so well done to him. He was also in the thick of the action and was good when he came on both up front, and in midfield.
Cameron Baird scored a fabulous goal, and then was versatile enough to slot into defence for a turn, which also went well.
Ethan working hard the whole time, mopping up and helping out where necessary, but also proving to be a real difference maker in attack.
Ray was pulling the strings and his ability on the ball made several goals for the team, but the Man of the Match for me was little Aiden who worked hard, was solid and made some superb tackles.
well done to the whole team. lets see if we can take this momentum into the match against Las Chapas on Friday.!
