Academy Director and General Manager of AFA. Craig has over 11 years experience of youth and academy football. An ex youth player in the UK with Stevenage Borough, Craig became an academy coach for Stevenage during the late 90's and has worked with many professional clubs to set up community coaching programmes, worked as a scout and talent spotter , worked in Centre of Excellences and run various soccer camps during school holidays. Craig's has very quickly established links between AFA and professional clubs around the footballing world, and continues to scout the marbella region for potential professional footballers.
In 2009 Pelayo Gomez became the first Marbella player to acheive this by signing for London Club Brentford in league 1, who was represented by Craig personally.
Peter Jones
Ex Fulham Community Coach Peter is AFA's Academy Development Manager. Peter's role in the club is a very important one, as he coordinates the younger teams from u8s up to u12s, but also works on sponsorship and advertising opportunities for the club.
Peter is well organised and very enthusiastic and has a wealth of experience running many community schemes for Fulham in many of the London Boroughs. He is an extremely hard worker and a real asset to the club.
Peter is also the voice of AFA Marbella and many of you may have heard him on Central FM on his football round up program.
Nathan Turnbull
Nathan is now in his 2nd season at AFA and after steering the u10s to last seasons' league title, moves up with his squad to the under 12s.
Nathan, a Watford man, has recently completed his coaching certificate, and is a well respected member of the team.
AFA have high hopes that Nathan will take further coaching qualifications and go on to be on of the clubs top coaches in the very near future. He certainly has a lot of potential, and is one of the best coaches at getting the most out of his players and maximising their potential.
Nathan now has the difficult job of matching last seasons achievements!
Mark Mellor
Mark has moved up with his team from last year and takes on the u14s this season in an important age group for the club. not only becuase this is the first year that players transition form 7 a side to 11 a side football, but also becuase our U14 team is the only one in the club currently playing in the 1st division. Marks task this year is to keep our division 1 status, and develop this promising group into a strong squad for next season. A tough job, but Mark has all the skills to make this happen and we wish him good luck for the season.
Mark has also recently completed his coaching certificate.
Vinnie Samways
Spurs legend, with fantastic career in Spain and a wealth of football experience. Vinnie joins the AFA team and works with our u16 Team.
Frederico
Fitness and Conditioning Coach, Frederico keeps the AFA players in tip top condition and fighting fit.
